Tim Reynolds has specialised in this unique area of law for over 30 years.
Tim’s clients accordingly include a wide range of vessel designers, manufacturers, and suppliers, as well as a longstanding number of individual private owners. Tim has long been recognised as having specific expertise in relation to construction disputes, having successfully represented clients in both Court and Arbitration Proceedings in which awards in excess of 7 figures have been secured.
Tim was formerly a boat builder, and owns and races a number of sailing craft, and thus has considerable practical understanding of all aspect of yacht construction and operation, which he is uniquely able to bring to bear in conjunction with his understanding of the complex legal issues surrounding marine disputes generally. Tim is also recognised as an expert in relation to foreshore and seabed related issues including moorings, jetties and other structures.

Royal Yachting Association – As a longstanding gold member, Tim is part of a small panel of specialist Solicitors providing free initial advice to members in respect of Marine related issues, and has provided pro bono advice to the Association and various other Clubs and Associations over many years.
British Marine – Tim was a long term member of the British Marine Federation, having served on a number of Committees in the past, and has played an active part in the development of many of the standard documents now used in the marine industry.
Publications – Tim has lectured and has published a number of Articles in relation to relevant Marine law issues over many years. Having trained as an Engineer and Boatbuilder (before studying Admiralty Law), Tim has invaluable practical understanding of the sector.
